Question about escort/place/seating chart

I would just assign tables, guests can figure out where to sit at the table on their own. In my opinion, it's just more unnecessary stress for you to assign seats.

We assigned seats & tables. It really didn't take much longer than just assigning tables.

I always think just assigning tables is the best option with the guests then deciding where to sit at the table.

If its a plated dinner meaning that the food will be served to them, I would think its easier for the staff if the seats are assigned. But as long as they have their meal choice you could probably just assign the tables. If you're truly on the fence and not leaning any way in particular, you may want to check to see if your caterer has a preference for serving.

I think is way easier for you just to assign tables and I personally prefer it this way as a guest. The only exception would be if your caterer requires it because you’ll need to give him a list of who’s sitting were for meal purposes. This makes it easier for staff to just deliver the plates but is a lot more work for you and people always move around anyways.

Its up to you but personally I think you should assign a table but not a specific seat. for that many people it may get stressful choosing a particular seat for each person. i'd let your guests choose their own seats on their assigned table

I did assigned Tables. This will keep tables from being overcrowded or not too full.

I placed people that had something in common at the same tables. Employer, hometown, family, etc...

This is a good question. I wanted to make it easier on myself, so I am just assigning tables. Adult can figure it out from there.
