For you ladies who have been married before or who are older, are you doing the whole garter / bouquet toss?

I am going to throw a money bouquet and a money garter so everyone can participate in catching them. I think its going to be hilarious. I want to keep my bouquet and garter.

Forgot to say that I am 33 and I know that is not considered old already???

We're definitely doing it, I've always enjoyed it just for the fun and I know the BMs are looking forward to it.

At one of the weddings I attended last year, two married people caught them (not married to each other), she did the reverse thing and place the garter on him while he's holding the bouquet, it was the funniest thing. I can't skip it, it's part of our celebration.

Hadn't thought about it, but most of the people invited are married. Maybe I can come up with something else.

We didn't. Honestly, assuming that every single person is just dying to get married seems somewhat insulting. And the one recent wedding I went to that had the tosses had people jumping away to avoid catching them.

Oh No! I'm "older". LOL! We are doing both. It's fun and fits our personalities. Not to mention we have a wide array of friends (younger, older, marriied, single, divorced). So it'll definitely fit.

We are truly seniors...I am 50 and FH is 63. No, we are not doing either, mainly because we have no single guests, other than my daughters.

We are, however, going to do a "mock" garter removal and give my daughter who was just engaged my garter to congratulate her FH and her on their engagement. I wasn't even going to wear one, but I found an ivory garter, sewed on blue ribbon and sewed on my daughter's gold Italian horn and gold Miraculous Medal, so she will have it for her August 11, 2012 wedding.
