    Natalie I love that idea!

Desarae - I know I feel bad for the gm, I think all they'll probably get is beer. Although that will probably make them happy enough haha

I got my girls; only had 2 of them, two sets of earrings from Swarvoski (sp), had a coupon. Also got them smaller size lotions and cream from Bath and Body works, a nice book mark and a little woven bag to keep it in. My parents were nice enough to pay for their makeup, toes and nails.

I'm giving them a tote bag with a bridal survival kit which has an essie nail polish, hand sanitizer from bath and body works, lotion, bobby pins, tissue, nail file. Also some sandals for when their feet hurt (from old navy website they are $2.50 for 2 or more!) and the wedding name hanger from etsy as well as the jewelry for the big day! Smiley smile

I paid for their hair appointments which some people on here say isn't a gift because its an expense they have associated with being in the wedding. Really though we went to get our hair done for fun since the wedding was so casual and they were my sisters and loved the gift so I don't agree with past comments about it not being a gift...

The gifts I have received and loved are-

    1) tote bag with my initials that I use all the time for over night trips and just going to the park with my daughter.

    2) make up bag with the letter K on it which is big and nice for travel or just keeping make up in at home

    3) the shoes for the wedding which I wouldn't have wanted to buy and will never wear again...

    4) pearl jewelry that I will never use again but had to wear to match the other girls...

    5) my make up being professionally done which was at my sisters wedding

Those are really nice gifts/gift ideas...however, I am a budget bride and I got my girls vp t-shirts with their name and roles on em. Mini woven bags from Michael's for $.26/2pk on clearance and I got Victoria Secrets lip glosses at the semi annual sale to go in the bags and I'm going to buy their jewelry to also put in the bags. I'm hand decorating flip flops for them to wear when their feet get tired....

for those who can drink a bottle of a local wine those who can't my cousins they will get something different

and all are getting flip flops in the color of their dress to change into

I am having a DW in Florida without a bridal party. I have some very close friends who are helping a ton with the wedding so I wanted to get them something to show them how much I appreciate them. I had my heart set on getting them bracelets similiar to pandora so they can add charms.

I just happened to be at a conference today and met someone selling Silpada jewelry and I fell in love with the pearl bracelets and you can hang charms from them!!!! I liked the pearls because they are associated with the ocean and we are getting married on the ocean. Each friend will have a charm to make it unique and then all will have a "wedding" charm which will either be a flip flop or starfish.

I love the wine glasses with initials on them too!!!

Personalized bags from VP, personalized hanger, matching earring and necklace set and a picture frame with a group picture and a nice note.

At least that is what I have planned thus far...

I am purchasing the wedding jewelry for my BMs and a simple kit of relaxation (think spa). I will give them this on the day of the wedding and when the photos come back I will frame up a shot and send it with a card. Sadly most of them live out of state.

I am loving the emergency kit for the day of. Smiley smile Thanks ladies!

@Katie, I love that necklace. Is it from Etsy? I nearly purchased those for my gals as well!

I made a decision yesterday and went with it.

I got the teenaged boys decks of cards personalized with a great photo of each of them. These were from Walgreens, and they are the kind with the photo on the back of each card, not just on the case that holds the cards. I also ordered a few decks with photos of our puppy dog or our engagement photos and will scatter those on the lounge tables for those folks who aren't dancers.

The BM's will have the necklaces and pashminas that I purchased a few weeks ago. Yesterday I ordered pink converse all star tennies for myself and each of them to wear at the reception. I'm living with breast cancer, so pink is my color - I didn't want my wedding to be all pink, so this is a nice touch. Our colors are Navy and silver-gray.

GM are getting really nice binoculars. My FH told me how much he spent on them and I thought he was kidding!

I'm thinking a clutch filled with stuff as well as jewelry. Too early for me to decide though.

I have been a bridesmaid twice: opal necklace and peridot necklace

Gave my MOH an aquamarine (her birthstone) pendant on a gold chain.

In the safety of WW, things I’d NEVER have told the 20+ brides I've been honored to serve:

    I Loved:

    - Personalized MU bag (*CAUTION - This has been popular a while, so beware that a girl who's been a BM several times might have a few already. Seriously!)

    - Umbrellas (Sounds weird, but she found unique umbrellas for each girl. Most memorable gift I've gotten!)

    - Paying for things I’d have had to pay for. (When I was broke, this was especially nice!)

    - Cards that are personal

    I Hated:

    - Cheap jewelry to look "matchy matchy.” (I love picking out my own jewelry & shoes & I almost never wear any of the cheap costume stuff later.)

    - Anything that says BM (Cute for day of, but usually cheap & will go straight in my garbage after you wedding.Sorry!)

    - Individual wine glasses (1 bottle of wine? GOOD!. 1 wine glass? What the hell am I going to do with that but drink alone?)

Also, remember gifts to people who host showers for you. Doesn’t have to be $$ (a mug with candy, wine, etc. are all cool) but it is very thoughtful!

And from most guys I've talked to over the years, I can tell you that they honestly could care less about cutesy, personalized stuff that we drool over. Forget the flasks and buy them a bottle of their favorite liquor!
