Questions to Ask Venue

My fiancé and I have our venue booked and are getting married there in April 2021. The venue is about 400 miles away so visiting is a challenge. We visited in person in August when we decided to go with them and are visiting again at the end of December. We are meeting with the event coordinator on site and also tasting our menu during our December visit. Since this is our final chance to walk the space and ask questions in person before the big weekend, is there anything you all recommend I ask or make sure to coordinate while there? Obviously we can email/call later if we think of something, I don’t want to miss any important details that are easier arranged in person!

    Definitely ask their Covid policies/solutions. We still don't know what will happen and if they can show you how they will socially distance things you'll be better able to visualize.

    Thanks! I’ve looked through those and have asked lots, but wasn’t sure if there was anything specific that you all asked that was beneficial in a final walkthrough that weren’t on there.

    Take photos or even video of all areas of the venue. This will be helpful when determining where guestbook, cake table, gift table, etc. need to go and how various areas of the venue will need to be decorated. As the wedding gets closer, the more important these little details will be!

    If you message me your email address, I can send you the 3 page document of questions I created when I was venue hunting. You can print it out and write in all the responses or just use it as a guide. It was great for us to compare all the venues we visited (around 11 in person).
