quirky/personal vow ideas?

One of mine is "even when you piss me off, test my patience or drive me up a wall, I promise to go to the other room, cool off and still love you".

I like the spider one. :3

One of my vows will be I promise to always to file our taxes. Haha

I accidentally said one of the reasons that I love him is that our dog does, too. Didn't really plan that one, kind of just blurted it out.

Anyway, personally I'd stick to only one of these "quirky" vows and keep the others serious. I've been to weddings where the vows are all pop culture references and cutesy stuff like this and while it's often, well, cute, at a certain point it starts to feel like the couple wants to be doing stand-up.

FH wrote one that says "I promise to take you shooting whenever you want and share my ammo". Not sure if that will make the cut, but I want it to!

I'm loving reading these!! I have this joke that I always say "you're my favorite person... Besides Pansy." (My cat.) I told him I'm going to say the whole vow and then just say "besides Pansy" even if it makes no sense. Like "I can't wait to be your wife forever. Besides Pansy." I love little inside jokes. After all, they're for us!

I love nontraditional vows! That spider one is hilarious! But I would agree, include some serious ones, too, because you are making a significant commitment!

We're going to have a standard Catholic ceremony, but if we weren't, I would definitely include "I love you, and I like you," from Parks and Recreation. My online dating profile said to message me if "you're secretly Ben Wyatt." FH didn't know who that was at the time, but he does now! And would also treat himself to a full Batman costume...

I think I wrote that promised to always keep the freezer stocked either reeses (his favorite candy).

H promised to make me coffee every morning. So far the shouting wedding vows thing has worked lol. I vowed to protect him from stray dogs because he has a phobia.

Of course, OUR personal/quirky vows won't work for you. That's the whole point of the personal part.

I made a lot of promises in mine. MIL wants a copy so she make sure I keep them as a joke.

We are huge Leslie and Ben fans so I ended my vows w/ I love you and I like you. Here are some promised from my letter size paper of typed vows. (just the funny ones)

I promise to feed you when you are hangry or forget to take care of yourself.

I promise to remain by your side as we grow old, to decorate your walker, to clean the drool off your chin and the slime from your nose.

I promise to always put the forks, spoons and knives in the dishwasher how you like.

I promise to cook your bacon chewy and to remember to not over toast your bread.

I promise to at least pretend to be interested in your latest video game obsession.
