Random Nervousness.

Mandi, on December 6, 2019 at 9:35 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 5
Anybody else despise setting up hair and makeup appointments?

I need to find someone to do my makeup. I need to book hair. But these are sorta new things to me. So i hate doing it.

Plus the lady I've been having do my hair for the last 6 months is a distant cousin... and not invited to the wedding. Trying to figure out if that's rude to have her do my hair, but not invite her?

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? You do not love spending money on hair and make up? :p LOL. I think if you invite her to do you hair but not to the wedding it could be offensive but only because she is technically family. I have a cousin that I do not speak to and she does make up but I specifically would not hire her because I would not invite her to my wedding especially because she would tell my aunt whom I want nothing to do with. You do not have to invite her of course but it might be a bit offensive to her. Maybe for the wedding have someone else do your hair just to avoid any drama? Are you looking for a place that can do both hair and make up?

I think it's fine, especially since she's a distant cousin. My hairdresser and I have been friends since middle school and she wasn't invited to my wedding, no hard feelings. She probably would have been more offended if I asked someone else to do my hair lol.

I guess kind of going off of what Caytlyn says it really depends on your relationship. She might be cool. You know her a bit better as a person.

I can totally relate to you on this. I am such a hermit LOL not but really, I think it is absolutely fine to ask her to do your hair. My best guy friends sister is doing my hair and I was not able to invite her but she is the best. Good luck!

I totally understand this! I get anxiety about making a normal appointment for a haircut, I haven't even thought about making the "official" hair and make up appointment lol.

I don't think it would be rude to have her do your hair but not invite her. If she is the one who has been doing your hair recently, she knows how it behaves and you're presumably comfortable with her. So it might be more awkward to not ask her. I'm in the same boat too. My hairdresser is also my cousin and I asked her to do my hair and makeup but I couldn't invite her to the wedding due to budget restraints. But she just recently got married herself and had to make guest list cuts as well so she understands.
