Random tip!

Hi Brides! I came up with an idea that is greatly paying off for us, so I thought I would share.

Do some research on credit cards with perks that work for you: rewards, flight points, etc.

We chose AMEX Delta Skymiles card.

My spouse already had one that he uses casually, and had a lot of points on it. He got a little email saying if he referred me, and I spent 3k, that he would get 15k miles and I would get 70k miles.

So we did that, and started using my card for everything. We had already saved all of our money that we wanted to use on the wedding, so then used the AMEX for literally every single wedding expense. As soon as the expense was posted, we paid it. I had hit the 3k required bonus within a month (weddings...lol) and we both got the bonus mileages.

We now have enough flight points for 2 free business class flights to our destination wedding. Could also use it for your honeymoon if you're doing a local wedding! A great way to save thousands of dollars for money you were going to spend anyway!

As long as you have the funds to pay it off immediately, it works like a charm. Happy spending!

This is such a smart move! We did one with high cash back rewards (which basically just gets recycled back into paying for wedding stuff lol).

Unfortunately the vendors in my area are doing anywhere from 30-60% tax charge for credit card payments. No thank you.

It’s true. I think too many vendors got burned by the interests they have to pay they decided to make it extremely high to dissuade couples from doing it.
