Rash on back of legs

Nicole, on July 11, 2019 at 12:13 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 8
I get married Saturday and I have a rash on the back of my upper thigh. I'm assuming it's a heat rash bc I spent a week moving in 90ndegree weather and sweat to death. Anyone know what I can apply to keep the itch down? Itll be tough to itch under my dress ha

Aloe will certainly soothe the irritated skin which will help the itching. Stay away from scented lotions, they typically make things worse.

You could try some hydrocortisone cream, that should help with the itching. I had a random rash show up on the back of my legs while I was away in Ireland last summer and couldn't find any hydrocortisone cream at the store so I tried neosporin and it actually worked!

Hydrocortisone cream will definitely help. Also, if you can the next 2 days, try not to have tight clothing there, and you can use cool cloths to help. If you can, take an over the counter allergy pill too like benadryl (maybe at night since it tends to knock people out!)

    Hi Nicole Smiley smile

I would definitely recommend you visit a drug store and see what they would suggest for a heat rash!

As Courtney mentioned, it would be best to avoid heavily scented shower gels, lotions, etc. over the coming days. Anything which would irritate it further should be avoided!

It might be hives from stress. I've been getting them on the back of my legs for yearsss. Hopefully, that's not what this is for you. Try hydrocortisone cream and avoid new products with scents. Good luck!

Hydrocortisone like everyone else was saying. I'd use unscented everything until the wedding. If it is a heat rash aloe 2-3 times a day too.

I use Lanacort, its an antihistamine and I think it works better than benadryl cream. Its in a tube like neosporine would be and it is blue. I get hives ALOT, especially with temperature changes and it has always worked best. Also, if you have any red/discolored scars, it helps take the color out of them as well, but that takes some time.
