Real Candles vs Fake Candles

I love the idea of candles for my decor on the reception tables, cake and gift tables but is it tacky to have fake candles? I think some look pretty nice and it being flameless isn't a hazard so that's a plus.

    I saw some fake candles that have real wax exterior that look very cool! I think once they've been on a while the wax will start to melt a bit too giving it a more realistic vibe.

    I don't think fake candles are tacky, especially the ones with the hidden "wick" thats kind of inside the well of the candle. They look pretty authentic to me. I happen to be having real candles in glass cylinder holders, because it was cheaper and my venue allowed it. But I would have been ok with faux candles.

    I don't think they are tacky. We used only fake candles and they looked pretty.
