Real Or Fake Manzanita Branches

Mrs. Brock, on March 19, 2013 at 7:00 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 9

I ordered a sample pack from blooms and branches of real ones...

but I just saw fake ones that are black and the branches are moveable?

has anybody has any experience using Fake Or real ones?

I would love to hear any pros & cons.

Thanks

Both. The biggest pro on the real ones is that they're real. The fake ones look fake. I'd definitely go with the real.

Is there anywhere around you that you can just go and cut the branches yourself? My MOH did that for her wedding. She drove about 2 hours to where she knew there were plenty and cut them down. They looked really great

I got real. I have 3 centerpiece designs and one is manzanita branches with crystals and orchid blooms for $50. I am sure I could probably DIY and get it down cheaper, but Idk about you...I dont have a wedding planner, just trying to lock in a Day of Coordinator, so my to do list is already pretty full.

I want to add that I have no complaints of real ones, fake ones remind me of fake flowers. But I am a person who doesnt like fake flowers, some people do. Just ask yourself what is important to you. Only your guests who are really into DETAILS will examine the centerpieces like we do as brides! Smiley smile

If you have no issues with how the fake ones look, then I wouldn't worry about if they're real or fake. People (IE YOUR GUESTS) either won't notice, or won't care, let alone REMEMBER what your centerpieces were next year.

I've never worked with either type of branch, but I feel that you may get more flexibility with the fake ones so that you an move them around more to your liking. What's in your budget? Do you have unlimited funds, or are you pinching pennies?

Do these things just grow wild? Where at? i had no idea - I'd totally hack the suckers down if I knew where to find them! These branches are expensive!
