So I had a makeup trial today. I really have been going back and forth as to whether I want to spend the money when I don't normally wear a makeup, and I'm not really a big fan of looking like someone else other than the real me. I am so happy I went! What a total surprise. We had a really good consult and she followed everything that I asked for and then some. When it was done I asked her about the heavy hand on the blush, but then she took my picture and showed me ... everything that everyone has ever said about makeup fading in pictures is true. So if anyone out there is still on the fence, I highly recommend at least doing a trial. Here's my selfie with my wedding headband - my hair will be styled the same. Really surprised! 1

This turned out absolutely beautiful!! I totally agree with you on doing a trial - I never wear makeup, so I was concerned about not looking like myself on my wedding day. The trial helped show me that I still looked like myself, I just felt more fancy, lol. Your wedding headband looks pretty too! Glad to hear it all went well!

You look great! I agree with you. I never wear makeup either and didn’t want to not look like myself so I had her do a light makeup look and I’m glad I did! And the headband is cute!

You look beautiful Pat! I also agree on how wedding makeup feels so much heavier than it comes out looking like you're wearing in pictures! I wear makeup most days, but my trial makeup seemed so heavy. It ended up looking like the perfect amount in our wedding photos though

You look beautiful (before and after, I might add!) I am a makeup wearer from way back - I don't take the trash out without at least lip gloss! However, like you, I don't want to look like anyone but me. And though I always wear makeup and do my own (I am also a Mrs. Santa Claus, - hubby is Santa. Really. And for 40 years a performer/competitor in a women's international choral group), I plan on doing a consult with my hairdressers who are also pro makeup artists who've done work on Broadway. Every bride wants to look like her very best self. I think you will look lovely! Congrats!
