Hi I was just wondering if anyone had a wedding recently during the last month or so and/ or have been to a wedding? How many people? And what state are you in? My wedding is in 96 days and I’m starting to think I’m gonna have to change it😔

The rules probably vary per county. I’m in Saint Johns County (NE FL)

Hi Marisa, I am also in PA. I am in Chester County in Southeastern PA, and we are getting married in Montgomery County. We are in the green phase and it allows you to have gatherings of up to 250 people. Now the actual number of guests depends on how much space your venue has and how much they can hold with the social distance guidelines. I think 50% is for restaurants and things that were not open during the yellow phase. Where are you at?

I agree, that will be a deal breaker for me also. I may see if we can push back two weeks into November after the election and see whats going on then. Or we may see if we can go to our friends property in Corpus Christie. I live in SAT and its taken me two weeks to even get a hold of my venue as to whats going on. I am not happy at all at this point.

Oh hi Kelly! We live in and are getting married in Lancaster, so we’re practically neighbors! Our venue is a smaller bakery/cafe. Originally we were anticipating around 30 guests, but had to scale it down to 22 plus ourselves to keep it at 50% capacity. I think their full capacity is 48 or 49. But this came straight from our venue coordinator (I.e. the horse’s mouth).

There have been so many changes, and seems like things are going to constantly change, so just trying to plan as much as possible and learning to be resilient through all of this.

I’m in TX (where things aren’t looking too good) and we’re 20 days away! As of right now, things are still ok because we’re under the 50% capacity of our venue that holds 400. About 130 people RSVPd a couple weeks ago (before it picked up here again), we aren’t expecting for that many to actually come given the circumstances, but we’re ok with that and told all of our guests that if they weren’t comfortable then we 100% understood. And we do. We’ll offer masks to all attending, have hand sanitizer EVERYWHERE (like literally at each seat!) and the tables are super spaced out. It’s an indoor/outdoor venue. The county we’re getting married in doesn’t have very many cases, and the majority of our guests are from that area. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit leery or having some guilt about the gathering, but at the end of the day I’m ok if it’s just me & my FH there...lol We’ve been together for 7 years & are anxious to start our family. Our immediate families are comfortable attending and we’ve had multiple really honest conversations with them, and that’s what matters most to us.

We're an outdoor ceremony & reception in NJ for September 19. NJ had increased outdoor gatherings to 250 late last month (we're anticipating about 200.) Will need to wear masks to go inside to use the bathroom, hand sanitizer stations, no serving food or bar indoors, and all staff wearing masks/gloves. Not ideal, but honestly feel like we're lucky to be able to have it at all so rather go forward with it while we can! Our venue did have an outdoor wedding for 100 people a couple weeks ago.

Maybe! Rutherfurd Hall/David’s Country Inn? Though I few like that’s the case with anyone getting married in NJ in the next couple months!

Yes!!! Things are constantly changing. I just have to accept that other then our outdoor ceremony, pictures and eating and drinking we will have to wear a mask. My venue said they won’t be mask police but would like guests to abide as best they can. If anything we can look back at this and laugh or be the most memorable wedding. I wish you luck and I hope things go as planned and we both can have our weddings!!!!
