Reception after Covid wedding

Hi everyone so I had gotten married back in October 2020 and never had a reception because of Covid, but now that there are no more restrictions I would love to have a reception but I’m so on the fence about it

Congrats on the marriage! And I'm sorry you missed out on the opportunity to have your reception due to covid. If you are still really wanting to celebrate with your friends and family, a fun idea would be to have a celebration for your 5 year anniversary! You could make it super low-key, like just a nice dinner. Or you could make it a grand celebration, complete with wedding dress, cake, flowers, photographer, DJ, dancing, catered dinner, etc. You could even renew your vows, since you didn't get to say them in front of your loved ones the first time around.

Three plus years later, I would call it an anniversary party as opposed to a wedding reception, but you can certainly celebrate in any way you like. It would come down to finances for me. Are you easily able to afford it or are there other priorities at this point?

Congrats on your marriage! Sounds like a really awesome anniversary party would be a great thing if you're up to do that. I think people do understand the need to celebrate such an important milestone in your life.
