Reception dress

Anyone changing after the ceremony? What do your reception dresses look like? Short or long? I was planning on getting my reception dress custom made and looking for some suggestions. So far I like these

Nah, I'm keeping on my wedding dress. I'll be spending so much money and energy into picking it out, I might as well get the maximum mileage out of that thing.

If we do an after party, I might change into some white Rent-the-Runway number beforehand.

To wear my wedding dress for only the ceremony seems like a waste especially the money that was spent on it. Maybe try a convertible dress? Sometimes people change into a second dress and it's very underwhelming

@Natalie yea you do have a point about that. I was going to get the dress custom made by my friend told her $300 was my budget. But I do love my wedding dress. Decisions decisions.

I love my dress, I couldn't imagine taking it off after the sort ceremony! I'd sleep in it the wedding night if I could!

After the reception I'm changing for the bonfire because I don't want my dress smelling like smoke but have no idea what I will wear yet

I'm doing a reception gown. I initially was going to wear a blush ceremony gown but FH is so traditional he insisted on white or ivory, so I conceded. The compromise was that I can have a blush dress for the reception. I can't wait, it's being custom made for $600 and my ceremony dress was only $650.

I'm keeping my dress on. I've spent so much on it I want to feel like a princess all night. Plus it's the only time I'll get to wear it so I'm gonna enjoy it.

I brought an extra dress just in case I decided I wanted to change. I was hoping and planning on staying in my dress as long as possible but my bustle broke so I had to change into my extra dress after dinner. My reception dress was short and fitted. It was a huge hit, and it was much cooler and easier to dance in then my wedding dress.

We're doing an after party at a hookah lounge so I'm changing for that so my dress doesn't smell like smoke. I ordered this jumpsuit on Zulily. I love that it's comfy and FH loves the neckline!

Omg those dresses are beautiful. Love them both. But nope not changing into another dress. Spent too much on my dress to only be worn for 40 minutes lol so gotta wear it all night
