Reception Playlist

I need some help with a songs to play during wedding reception. We are a little older crowd and I'm not too sure how many people will get up and dance. There are a few teenagers and I would like to have something a little soft & classy continuously playing maybe some jazz or Sinatra with a mix of some fun stuff.

Any advice or Playlists out there that I can give my dj to use?

Some of the older songs that people seemed to enjoy at our wedding were Twist and shout - the Beatles, Roam - the B52s, and Mambo Number 5.

I’m sure there were more but those are ones that I particularly remember everyone dancing to.

I made our own Spotify playlist for our reception! that was exactly the same kind of vibe we were going for. everything on our list was a huge hit. people definitely hit the dance floor for the Cupid Shuffle, and everyone of all ages enjoyed the mix of slow and faster songs. my only regret is that our playlist was way longer than our reception lasted. we spent months curating the perfect playlist, so I'm happy to share some of what we included! hope this helps!

I’m telling my dj old r& b- temptations, stylisitics, earth wind & fire, Elvis, Sinatra, etc. but I love the list above. That’s awesome!
