Recessional Song

Jess, on May 17, 2019 at 3:13 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

Hey everyone,

I thought I had all my wedding songs picked out but now I'm starting to second guess my recessional song.

Right now we have planned to use "Best Day of My Life" by American Authors.

Just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions or if I should just keep with the song we have planned?

Our processional song is "Me and You" by Kenny Chesney which I love 100% with no plans of changing that. So with that being said I think half of my problem is I don't know if my processional song and recessional song go together or do they even have to "go together"

Any advice or suggestions would help tremendously! Thanks in advance!

I went to a friend's wedding last August that used Zac Brown Band's "All Alright." I don't remember what they used for the processional though. I thought its was cool and showed their personalities. With that being said, my FH and I are planning on using Florida Georgia Line's "Simple" for the recessional. We both really like the song and it fits our personalities. Your song choices sound fun!

Keep it! Smiley smile We used it too for our exit - followed it with Imagine Dragons "On Top of the World" as the guests exited. If you want that lighthearted mood, it's a killer combo!

I chose This Will Be by Natalie Cole...fun and upbeat!

Not sure if they have to go together but I'm sure whatever you choose will be perfect!

Our recessional song is the theme to “Harry Potter” or more accurately the “Hedwig” Theme- from the first movie...

We used Andy Grammer Good to be Alive and it was fabulous. We had the DJ start it right at the chorus and danced our way out. I loved it.

They don't have to "go together." They will be played at different points. If those are the songs you like, then I think you should use them. Smiley shame We are using "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder for ours.

They don’t have to match. My processional song is Clare de Lune and the recessional song is Tenerife Sea.
