I remember doing this years ago for an old co worker getting married and thought it was cute. I am helping my MOH organize an informal bridal brunch ( will be stated that gifts are not expected or needed) with some of my good friends and I love cooking and getting new recipes. I also remember for my co worker's shower we brought the dish we made along with the recipe. I kind of like that idea especially since so many of my friends have dietary restrictions or preferences. What are your thoughts? Of course there will still be food for others if they choose not to bring something as I know that is still proper hosting but in my circle a lot of my friends host informal parties that are bring something to share.
