Recoloring flameless candles?

I'm wanting to use flameless candles for my wedding but I'm not finding many in the colors I want. I'm wondering if anyone as had any luck recoloring them by any means. If you painted them what kind of paint did you use?

What color are you looking for? Pillars or tea lights?

Do a Google search for colored flame less candles. I personally would not try to recolor them but if you must, then do spray paint with the flame covered with painters tape.
