Recommendations for Photographers and dj in central jersey

I have been doing some research for photographers and DJs in the central jersey area and I feel like the prices are all over the place. I’m trying to stick to our budget and keep each one at no more than $1,500. I have found some on wedding wire but I’m skeptical would prefer to hire someone that has been recommended. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

We are using Starshield Entertainment as our DJ and paid around that. We are in Central Jersey, but they are actually south and are traveling up (their travel fee was reasonable and still cheaper than other people we interviewed). We haven't had our wedding yet, but another couple I know used them and we were at their wedding. They did a good job.
