Red Dirt or Classic Country Song for Reunited Couple???

Emilee, on January 30, 2016 at 6:11 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3

Hi all! My future hubby and I first met in high school through 4-H and dated for two years. After going our separate ways for 3.5 years, we reconnected and began dating again. Long story short, here we are planning our future marriage Smiley smile. We are trying to find a song that captures the long journey our relationship together has been on, from high school sweethearts, to strangers, to each other’s perfect partners, best friends, and soulmates (just love reuniting). Any suggestions??? I know we’re not the only ones out there to do this, so surely something exists, haha. Broken Road is a very cute song, but we both feel is a little overplayed anymore and lacks uniqueness. We both really like classic country and red dirt country, but would be open to other options if it matched well and was still something we could two step to. Thank you for your help!!!

Reba - And Still (if you fade out before the end where the guy has a new wife)

Garth Brooks - The Dance. (Kind of?)

Alan Jackson - Let's Get Back to Me and You

George Jones (or Alan Jackson's version) - Once You've had the Best

Stoney LaRue - Feet Don't Touch the Ground

Lady Antebellum - Damn You Seventeen (this may be too melancholy)
