Registering!! Whats the one thing you WISH you had registered for?

blondieblue, on May 15, 2014 at 9:54 AM Posted in Planning 0 16

I'll be registering in the next week and I wanted your opinions!!

Where to register?? I heard target has one of the worst return policies so I shouldn't use them...

What's the one item you WISH you would've registered for?

Bed, Bath, & Beyond is so predictable... Are there any new places I should think about?

I did amazon ( great because it can just be shipped to your house for out of town people) and kohls and bed, bath and beyond- yes it is predictable but people love using those 20% off coupons!

We did Amazon.com and Kohl's as well. We got everything from our Kohl's registry (everyone loves getting Kohl's cash!) and a lot from our Amazon registry. Most of the older people physically went to Kohl's and purchased something, and most of the younger people purchased online from Amazon. It worked really well for us and we didn't have to return anything!

I registered at Target (no problems and gotten a ton of gifts I'm keeping), Pottery Barn, and Crate and Barrel. We opened our registry online - so going into the store. Less stressful and we were able to compare products and such. We registered for everything we wanted.

Amazon is also great b/c you can use the universal wishlist tool to add items from *any* site!

I wish I had registered with Amazon. I chose BBB and Target but Amazon would have given us a bigger selection.

I register for pretty much everything I wanted. I was registered at BBB, Target and Belk. But the thing I wish I would have gotten, that I didn't get, was a KitchenAid Mixer. I'm so envious of everyone with one.

I'm going with Myregistry.com because you can add anything from any store.

I went with Macys. I wanted fine china and a lot of crystal and such and most of the other stores mentioned on this site don't have stuff like that.

You have to go by your wedding guest list and demographic. If your guest list is more William Sonoma and you put Target, that may not go over so well, and the same goes for reverse. May seem judge mental but at the end it works out better

We are going to do Walmart because it's the only store near many of our guests, Kohls and Macys. If you have a Macy's card they give you 10% of the cost spent on your registry on a gift card and they do returns for 180 days. Kohls gives you a discount on anything left on your registry after the wedding.

There are tons of places you can register aside from BB&B: Macys, Target, Crate & Barrel, Williams Sonoma, Amazon etc. When you go to the store, they usually give you a guide of what to register for: Cookware, bakeware, casual dining, fine dining, bedding, etc that you can check off your list. Try to register for things you really want, most stores give you a discount on nonpurchased items 6-24 months after your wedding date.

We registered at BB&B and Crate & Barrel.

I did Target and Amazon. Target is everywhere, and Amazon basically let's you add anything you want. As far as what I wish we'd registered for...well we haven't shared out the registry yet so we still add stuff to it.

I'm not sure what's supposed to be terrible about Target's return policy, I've returned plenty of things there over the years.

We went with Macy's. I've just always had positive experiences with them and their products are usually pretty good.

Williams and Sonoma is a good one if you're into that kind of store.

I don't have what I wish I registered for but I knew if I didn't register for a kitchen aid mixer I would regret it, so I did. We probably won't get it, but its worth a try..lol

    We did amazon and macys.

Amazon is a dream because of prime, people send things right to my door! Plus we can add from other websites if we want.

Macy's has a fabulous return policy as far as registries go. Plus if you have a macys card you get 10% back on anything you put on your card before the wedding plus 10% back from what people buy off your registry. This means you get a gift card to buy the things you didn't get.

Target is great for small things and decor. Items HAVE to be on your registry for easy returns (cash back). If someone buys you something that is not on your registry, add it before you try to return!

    Have fun!

P.s we registered for my dream kitchen aid I have wanted since I was ten and an insanely expensive waffle iron because I'm obsessed with waffles. They were two of our first gifts! Super fun.

Bed Bath and Beyond because I was told they have a Sunday afternoon where you can go in and use gift cards and do returns and get an additional 20% off that day. Also their registry is your gift receipt for two years. The only thing I wanted was a kitchen aid mixer in orange and we got that for Christmas. I registered for tons of towels and sheets, I am too frugal to want to spend money on those things Smiley laugh
