Registry at Bed Bath and Beyond

When we went they talked to us for a bit and then sent us off on our own. We also added some stuff online. And you can scan and add things from the app as well. . . .I'd go back without an appointment- any employee can help you add things to your registry if you need it.

Our salesperson walked with us the entire time but she was a college kid so we treated her like family and she treated us like a long lost friend. We spent more time laughing and joking. When I got home I signed in online to my account and removed everything I didn't want and added other items we didn't look at. It was simple.

We literally old the person we were going to do it on our own and we would find them if we had questions. Blunt but effective!

ETA: it stressed us out to have someone around. We just wanted to walk around at our own pace...

My sister works for BBB so I got lucky and had her be my bridal consultant. She told me that consultants get pushy because it looks better for them if you register for certain things. My suggestion is to just go onto BBB website after registering and changing your registry. I've edited mine about 15 times since registering!

Our lady wasn't pushy, but it was so awkward walking around with the lady scanning items for us the whole time!

FH and I standing there talking about sheet count and guest towels as she just stands there listening in. It was weird.

The BB&B app lets you scan into your registry.

I just did mine online.

I did went through this last week, but I just told her after a few scans that we wanted to scan for ourselves. She understood, and then told us that you should be able to ask any of the associates for a scanner...

I had a disastrous 30 minutes trying to register at the Bed Bath & Beyond store because FH was in an awful mood that day, so I ended up doing everything online. I liked it a lot because I was able to read reviews and had a lot more options.

My experience was good because I took my mother and the guy sent us out on our own but would surprise check in on us and comment on my scanning items which I found annoying. I ended up registering at Kohls too and edited a lot of my BBB registry since I liked kohls items better and their prices

I went in myself (just to get my mugs, no intention of starting it) and she explained the process and left me to it. You can also add to your registry from home from their site which is nice.

That happened to my FH and I as well. We went back a later date and just asked for the scanner to update our registry and they let us be.

Lol! My guy was like "o! You've worked at Walmart for 5 years? You know your way around this thing then. Have fun! Holler if you need anything!" And I explored all by myself. Then FH got off work and joined me. I was also offered a job.... because after 5 years in retail, when you hear someone asking questions about stuff, you just automatically ask if they need help....

We talked for a little bit.. then she let us make our selections and periodically came around to check on us if we needed any help or questions.

Me and my MOH went and our lady was really pushy too! I don't like to ask for things and plus we and my FH already have lived together for 2 years now so we have what we need. Never again will I do a registry there.

It was just horrible!!!! PUSHY PUSHY PUSHY!!!! I hated it sooo much If anyone asks I dont even say that I have registry there... Just leave me alone and let me scan what I want to scan.... then she kept calling me over and over.... i stopped answering and she finally got the message....

My FH just straight up told our lady that we wanted to go off on our own if we could. She said it was fine and checked up on us maybe once for the 2.5 hours we were there. When you go back for your 2nd appt just say that you would prefer to do it on your own.

I was very blunt and said we wanted to look around at our own pace and she respected that and gave us space. I agree that it is awkward with them hovering around.
