Registry available for Save the Date?

Janna, on December 5, 2018 at 10:16 AM Posted in Registry 0 14

I had been planning on waiting to add the registry link on our website until the invitation, but I saw some people add it for the Save the Date. I just want to make sure that's okay etiquette-wise? I thought it might be tacky to put up gift information too early, but maybe we'll just get people asking for it anyway. So at this point, we'd just have the RSVP link hidden until we send the invitation. Does that all sound right? Thanks!

People started asking us where we were registered pretty early on. I would just add it to your website. You don't need to mention it specifically on the STD as that's a bit early but it doesn't hurt to put it on the site.

Our registry was already set up when we sent out save the dates and it was on our website. We put the link to our website on the back of our save the date, but not to be gift grabby. Our website also has valuable travel info for our guests who wanted to book early before invites were sent. I don't think its tacky as long as you don't say "For registry info please go to www.brideandgroom.com"

When I sent out my STDs, I did include a link to my wedding website which contained accommodations, information on the venue, registry, photos, etc. All of that was active on the site when the STD was sent out. I did not however mention anything about the registry on either the STD or invites.

Thanks! I definitely wouldn't add to the actual STD/invitation, but good to know it's ok to add to the website at this point.

We had our registry set up on our website when save the dates went out. We got about 5 gifts off it when people received their save the date. We just listed the website and didn’t mention anything about gifts of course.

I see no problem with having it on your website when you send save the dates.

We put our wedding website on our save the date, and our registry was on it. But the actual link to our registry is not.

We put our wedding website on the Save the Dates, but I kept the registry hidden until someone asked a month or two ago. It's visible now.

We had our registries done and on our website before we sent STDs out. I really didn't think too much about it. There's no pressure for anyone to buy anything right now, but they're there when people are ready to buy for the shower. They can just ignore them until then lol

Especially with Christmas coming up a lot of people have asked about our registry to shop off of for Christmas.

We decided last minute, as in the were already ready to go out, to add our website information to our STDs. FH printed of shipping labels that say, "For more information please visit our website; blablabla.com"

our registry is listed as well as many other things on our website. these got stuck to the back side of the save the dates.

We had our registries done before our save the dates because we had a shower before they were even sent out. Our registries are on our website and we put the website address on our save the dates. We also have our love story, photos, bridal party and other wedding info on our website.
