Registry Ideas?

Octavia, on May 9, 2020 at 9:22 AM Posted in Registry 0 4
Hi Everyone,

I need some suggestions for a wedding registry. Since I have a house already and most things people would generally put on a registry, I don’t really need more “stuff” and would prefer gift cards. Do you know of a good reliable registry that people can select gift cards from various stores?
Thank you!

Have you looked into Zola.com? It says “gifts, gift cards, honeymoon fund all in one place”. I googled wedding registry websites for gift cards & a list came up from brides.com. I know there are others too. Good luck!

The easiest thing is to just not register. People tend to default to cash/ checks and you can use that in whatever stores you want. You can also create a small registry of things you want to upgrade/ replace.

    Seriously, Zola.

But also this is a good opportunity to get upgrades if you have some sheets or towels that have seen better days, or really you could use a new living room chair. On Zola they have it set up for you to do "group gifts" so you can put some pricier items and have people chip in. The dirty little secret is I think Zola just holds onto the money for your and gives you a credit if you put items from not their site on their registry, so you could in theory put some items on the registry from off-site, then use the cash for something else at a later date. Don't quote me on that; I'm not 100% sure.
