Registry info in invitations, help, ideas!!!!?!!!!

Katlyn, on June 13, 2016 at 5:41 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 17

My invites came in the mail the other day and they are PERFECT except I forgot to put registry and hotel info in them. I want to make little insert cards to add to them for people. Any ideas? The invites are tri-fold seal and sends so the sides are open, not sure how to make sure the little cards stay in them either, Help ladies! Thank you so very much! Attached is a pic of what the invites look like!

Consider it a blessing that the information was omitted. Now you won't be a rude bride.

Registry information never goes in the invitation.

Print a separate little card with your wedding website on it and leave it at that!

Do you have your wedding website listed somewhere on the invites? If not, you could use vistaprint to make business card sized inserts that say something like, "For more information, please visit KatlynWedding.com..." Put your hotel and registry information on the website. Viola! Registry information is never to be on the invites anyway as it can be seen as gift grabby and rude. Website and word-of-mouth is fine though.

ETA: And since you have folding invites, you could use a sticker or something to securely attach the card. Or simpler yet, just use word of mouth for registry if anyone asks, and personally let out-of-town guests know about hotel blocks.

It's incredibly rude to put registry information on wedding invitations, so you actually dodged a bullet. I agree with including a small insert that has your wedding website on it where guests can go to see the hotel information (and registry info if they're looking for it, but don't mention the registry at all on the insert).

Don't include your registry information on invitations! That's implying that to come to your wedding, a gift is required. That is not the case. Gifts are nice but optional.

And really, all you have to do is google the names of couples and their registries pop up.

It's a blessing you forgot your registry information as it should not be on the invitation.

Yes, this was a lucky "mistake" because its TACKY as hell to put registry info on your invites!! You can make a small insert with hotel information and your wedding website- registry info. can go on your wedding website.

I printed my hotel info on resume paper with nice font. As PPs said, registry doesn't go in your invites and no, we don't care how many times you've gotten invites with it in there, it's rude.

Close call! You should not have your registry information on your invitations. Rude and gift grabby.

There was a similar post on this recently. Search for "send and seal invites"

Would it be tacky to write a small line on the invites instead of cards, about the website?

Like PP said, put your website info on a card. Your invites came with clear seals...3 for each invite. These will keep the card securely inside your invite.
