Registry Items

Thank you! FH a and I are trying to finalize our registry haha. Now that we have an apartment (yay!) it’s much easier to add little decorative items

That's so true! People won't buy it if they can't afford it, so there's no need to feel horrible

My registry is one of my main stressors in wedding planning! FH doesn't think we need one and there are things I want to upgrade - like my vacuum cleaner and coffee maker haha. We cannot agree on anything when it comes to our registry!

Definitely use the registry to upgrade! You deserve to have nice things for cleaning! I registered for a Dyson.

If you have a Crate and Barrel near you, you should try to go to their private registry events! It really gets you excited for registering. Let your FH do the scanning. They like things that go beep! Crate and Barrel also have a group gift registry so you can put an expensive pot and pan set and people can contribute what they want.

I also registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I figure guests can use their 20% coupons. They also have appointments where you get some free stuff and they show you around. You also get to use the actual price scanner. That was my FH's favorite!

That was our experience too, all the bigger more expensive stuff was bought first! We had a ton of $25 and under stuff left after our showers and actually one person spent $500 and bought up all the little stuff that was left haha.

View Quoted Comment If you do bed bath and beyond make sure you get a consultant. She pointed out stuff that I would not have thought about. Like a new toaster, pillows, baking pans, etc.. our toaster is almost 20 years old. I never thought about replacing it

Exactly! The hard part is actually following through and getting rid of all the old stuff. I'm making FH promise me every time he adds something we already have that he has to donate/throw away the other 3 vegetable peelers.

Not exactly the same, since I haven't had my shower yet and don't know exactly what's been bought, but I felt like me and FH didn't register for many big things but so far 2 big boxes have been delivered to my parents' house!

I get to find out Sunday what's in them!

I’m glad to hear this, we love kayaking but can’t bring ourselves to spend the money on these ourselves, so we will be adding them to our registry!

This makes me feel so much better!! I've been worrying that people won't want to purchase anything on our registry lol
