Registry Must Haves!

Cassi, on June 27, 2019 at 11:11 AM Posted in Registry 1 18

Guys what are some of your registry must haves? FH and I both had houses before living together so we pretty much have everything we need and most things we have doubles. I know they say to upgrade your stuff so I have been doing that registering for nicer versions of what we already have but we also plan on buying a house after the wedding and we have no idea what that house will be like storage wise and what not. It sucks because I have this envision of what I want me dream house to look like but ultimately it will come down to the layout of the house we end up buy. What were some of the things not decoration wise you registered for?

Sorry for spam but heres screen shots of my registry so far:

I registered for serving dishes, wood boards, cake plates/stands, etc for entertaining. We figure once we are married we might end up hosting a few holidays and birthday parties. It is nice to have fancy serving dishes because they could also double as decor.

Yeah I definitely tailored our registry towards hosting. We do a lot of hosting as is ( most of our friends have apartments and we have a house with a yard so just makes sense for us to host). We got a super nice chips and dip serving bowl for Christmas and FH broke it the other day lol so we added that to our registry. I feel like theres so much I should register for and I will regret later on but right now I have no idea what to add, I also feel bad because some items we did register for are expensive. I am terrible at receiving gifts I always feel bad. lol

I started our registry early, and whenever there was a moment where I was like "darn, I wish I had this" or "ugu this thing is so old" I would go and add that to the registry. It's ok to register for a few pricier things. People will buy it if they want or they won't. Also, sometimes people pool together to purchase higher-priced items. Some registries allow you to have people contribute a certain amount if they don't wish to buy it outright.

Don't feel bad, some of our most expensive gifts were bought first!

    Just another idea.

I registered for a drink dispenser from Crate and Barrel, they have a bunch of mix and match options. My mom has 2 and uses them all the time for parties for tea and water.

I really wanted a nice luggage set since we'll be doing a lot of traveling after the wedding.

We took a similar approach to our registry!! We're still in an apartment but hoping to buy a house in the next year or two - so I registered for a lot of nice kitchen and dining things that I'm saving for once we have enough room in a house! It will be so nice when we get a bigger place and have all of this nice stuff ready to unpack.

Taking a quick scan through some of your registry - I see some of my fave items on there! Everyone should register for a few new tupperware sets - we got a new one for our ready and are already need to reorder more of the small size. Smiley laugh I also love the bench scraper and the herb scissors!

I registered for kitchen items such as pots and pans, baking pans, deep fryer. I also did sheets sets, pillows, towels. I did the necessities for my home. If you interested in hosting, you can do hosting trays. It depends on what you want for your home. You can not go wrong with the things that you need and want. See if your registry offer a gift card in case someone wants to give you money they can put the cash on your gift card and you can purchase things that you need. I know Macy's gives you a gift card for people who would give you cash and it goes onto the card when they go to your register. I hope this helps,

I think you have a great registry so far! I would recommend not having so much only the things you really want since some people might get you the cheaper stuff you want but aren't to crazy over. We didn’t add any decoration to ours I want to wait until we move into a house before buying decoration and we registered for things related to our hobby’s or other things we love a few examples are we registered things for our dogs which may sound silly but we got a doggy travel bag and a 2 dog backpacks since we have 2 dogs we also love to hike with them we both have never had hiking boots so we registered for that and more outdoor stuff like a hammock, and picnic set.

Everything on here I actually love. Just a lot is not needed for the fact that we have a lot of it. Everything on there though I do want I didn't add filler items, and I tried doing all price ranges for everyones budget but we also have over 100 guests on our list so needed to have a wide variety of options.

I am dying for the iRobot mop! I also added some cute patio furniture. We've lived together for years so we don't need a whole lot!

We registered for individual knife upgrades (chef's knife, etc.), stainless steel pans as well as flatware and plates. Most of our registry is dedicated to our honeymoon fund because, like you and you FH, we combined two houses into one.

I registered for some new sheets (We just got a new bed and have 1 set of sheets. Smiley xd Yay California King!) a new comforter set (Again, new bed LOL), and some odds and ends around the kitchen. (I.e: Upgrade baking equipment, an instapot, a few new cook books. FH took a sushi making class on a cruise, so we registered him for some sushi making knifes and a few cook books) Then we have a patio furniture set, an umbrella and umbrella stand, and a few other things to make our home more of what we want. We've lived together for just under 3 years, so we have mostly everything we want.

Then for kicks and giggles, we registered for a honeymoon fund, because we know most of Fh's family is going to give us money. Also, we registered for an inflatable hot tub and an ottoman that looks like a long horn. Do I think someone will buy it? Maybe not, but they'd be fun to have incase someone does! LOL

We've already been home owners for 3 years so it was hard picking stuff out for our registry. We decided for some updated dishware, things around the house that we could do, or gift cards.

Looks like you have a pretty good variety of items. We went a completely different direction than most do on their registries. We also already live together, have everything we need but also plan on buying a house after the wedding, more like within the next couple of years. The only things we really didn't have was things for entertaining. Bar tools and accessories, wine racks, drink tubs, party platters, drink dispensers/pitchers etc so that is what we registered for. We tried to keep it around 30 items. Here is our entire registry, we used Amazon as well.

We chose to skip a lot of the storage items, decor, bathroom items, etc because we are, also, planning to buy our first home after the wedding. We registered for lots of updated items for our new kitchen. As we have an apartment, we plan to keep all our gifts in boxes until we purchase our home. That way, we can toss the used apartment stuff and replace with our new, shiny things.

We registered for dishes, silverware, glasses, cutting boards, cooking utensils, and lots of entertaining items like serving silverware, bowls and platters. A big item we registered for (that was the first one bought YAY) was our Kitchen Aid mixer. I cannot wait for our bridal shower in four weeks to open that!

You have some great items on your list! I definitely think that everything will fit well in your new home! Smiley smile
