Registry

Traia, on January 20, 2022 at 7:02 PM Posted in Registry 1 12
Where have y’all registered for your wedding? I’m struggling for both our wedding registry because we’ve already been together for so long… there isn’t a whole lot that we need.

Also… where do I register for my bridal shower? I feel lost on that one!!!

The wedding and bridal shower have the same registry. There is no reason to have separate registries for the different events. Typically, you don't include the registry info on the invitation for the wedding. If people want to get you something from your registry for the wedding then they would go to the link for it on your wedding website or they would ask you. As for where you register that's completely up to you. We registered at Macy's, Crate & Barrel, and IKEA. We lived together for 3 years prior to getting married, but we registered for upgraded/matching items. For example a 16 set of plates since the plates we had were mismatched.

The registry for your bridal shower and wedding are the same registry. Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Amazon, Target, and Walmart are all pretty common registries. We had lived together for a number of years prior to marriage as well, and we chose to upgrade things (like replaced plastic food storage containers with glass ones, nicer sheets and towels, etc.).

Yes, bedding is definitely going on the registry. And we’re thinking gift cards as well from places like Home Depot or lowes for doing things around the house!!!

I did Wayfair, Bed Bath and Beyond, Amazon and Macy’s because I couldn’t find everything I liked in one store.

We're planning to use Amazon for our traditional registry but creating a honeymoon fund for our main registry. Like you, we've already been together so long and we don't need more "stuff". We'll have the traditional registry for upgrades on some things we already have for people who don't like the idea of honeymoon registries.
