Is it acceptable to put an insert where you are registered in your bridal shower invite?
A wedding i was invited to, had bed bath and beyond print outs showing they were registered. I thought it was a pretty good idea.
Is it sociallly acceptable to do that for the wedding shower?

Yeah, that's acceptable. Whoever is the host of your shower should be sending those invites though.
