Rehearsal Dinner Attendees

Courtney, on December 10, 2019 at 7:35 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5
Who is suppose to be there? I am trying to make a list to figure out cost of food.

My biggest question is..... Are you inviting your parents and grandparents?

My FH and I will be paying for the wedding and the rehearsal dinner ourselves. I know sometimes the groom's parents pay for the rehearsal dinner.
Our wedding venue is 45 mins from our house. The wedding is scheduled at 430 on Saturday. I was thinking of having the rehearsal at 430 or 5 on that Friday afternoon. My mom and grandma are already complaining to me that they don't drive at night and can't see at dark 🙄. It is really frustrating me especially when my wedding is in April and it wont get dark until like 8:30.
So I say all of that to say this.....who is coming to your rehearsal and dinner?

We are just having our parents and everyone in the ceremony (bridal party and SO’s, groomsmen and SO’s, officiant). It’s common to invite grandparents and family too though, and also out of town guests.

I'm going through this struggle right now! We get married on November 27th, 2020 so our rehearsal dinner will be ON Thanksgiving. We are inviting all our family members that are coming to our wedding to our rehearsal dinner as a way to bring our two families together on a family holiday. Long story short, we will be having 58 people attending our rehearsal dinner which is very large. Most rehearsal dinners only include immediate family and the wedding party (including officiant if they are a close family friend or family member).

We invited both set of parents, bridal party and their significant others, the flower girls, ring bearer, usher and their parents (they are all siblings so it was only one set of parents), and my grandparents on my mom's side since my grandmother was doing a reading at the wedding.

Right now I am up to 28 people including officiant and his wife. The officiant will be there for rehearsal so I think it is right to invite him.
I think I have everyone included, but I haven't included the children on the list. We are on the older side and several members of our bridal party have young children. I wish there was some nice way to ask them to get a sitter for a couple of hours while they are at rehearsal and dinner 😬

We did wedding party plus parents . We did invite grandparents but it was a technicality really . We also had a food minimum. To meet our food minimum we wanted to fill a certain number of seats
