Rehearsal Dinner Decor

futuremrsrichardson, on March 26, 2018 at 3:45 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 15

What are you planning on doing for rehearsal dinner decor? I am also having a welcome drinks event. Do I need decorations for this as well?

I'm not decorating at all. We're having dinner at the restaurant that is doing the catering for the wedding. It seems like a waste of money & time to decorate for the rehearsal dinner.

Nope! Not needed! Ours was at a restaurant that always has mini vases with a single flower on the tables, as well as votive candles, so we just had them set their tables like they normally do for dinner. We did not spend even one penny on decor for that.

We are doing a Welcome Party with 130 guests, so I wanted to have some fun decor for it (it's my Pinterest self kicking in).

We're doing a sunflower themed party, with bouquets of sunflowers as centerpieces. Something along the lines of the photo below. Because it's in Greece and the Welcome Party is on a beach, we wanted to play off of the blue...

Ours is taking place at a manor near the venues. We are not doing anything more than flowers in vases.

Super cute! My welcome party is just going to be a cocktail hour at a winery with drinks & apps from 5-7PM. Then we will have the rehearsal dinner following @ 7 PM at a restaurant next door to the winery.

We had our dinner a local BBQ place and kept it very casual. We did not decorate but the restaurant was already super cute.

No decorations for the rehearsal dinner. We're literally there for less than two hours, I don't think it really needs decoration.

We had our rehearsal dinner at a local restaurant and welcome drinks in the bar of the guest hotel, and I didn't do any decor. It probably would have been nice to do some flowers or something but I didn't even think about it, and I don't think it was missed at all.

Make sure you don’t ware yourself out too much the day before the wedding! I just went to my friends rehearsal dinner and we rehearsed then had dinner at a local restaurant - no decorations, it was simple and relaxing!

I bought some cheap lighthouse lanterns for my Welcome Dinner (it's a lobster bake on the lawn of the Inn we are getting married at). The venue provides picnic tables with blue gingham tablecloths so that should be enough "decor" After dinner we are moving into the pub for drinks, there won't be any decor in there.

It's never occured to me to decorate for the rehearsal dinner. I don't think any I have been to have had additional decor, whether at a restaurant or backyard barbecue.

We’re keeping it simple, just clusters of roses and hydrangeas on a long table and candles. Simple and elegant is my approach...totally do what u like 🤗
