We’re likely going to do what is common in our social circles and families which is very casual pizza delivery or going to a local Mexican restaurant only for those involved in the ceremony and their significant others, and it isn’t a dress up event. But at the same time, because everyone has to travel to where we live, we do want to spend more time with them so we tossed around the idea of a welcome dinner (which is unheard of in our families and social circles) but we would keep that casual as well.

We are planning on keeping it casual. We are having a pizza party at our place after the rehearsal.

We had a welcome party instead of a rehearsal dinner since we had a destination wedding, but ours was pretty casual and DIY’d by my mom and aunt. They rented a huge AirBNB for that side of the family and hosted all of our guests—my mom did an Irish candy bar, lots of bowls of chips and dips strategically placed around the house and outside, some hot passed apps and then trays of salad, sausage and peppers, baked ziti, chicken and garlic bread for the main meal. My aunt cooked everything and it was so delicious! I know it wasn’t too expensive for them and relatively easy to put together.

Oh, and beer and wine too! That was the one thing they almost ran out of; my mom didn’t calculate too accurately for my husband’s buddies and how much beer they’d drink!

It's a 2nd wedding for us both, so we're not having a bridal party, so no rehearsal. We do plan to go to a restaurant with our guests the night before the welding, then sending the guys off to a bachelor party.

We're getting married right around Halloween so (i think) We're doing a costume party brunch for the rehearsal. We're both big breakfast people so it's very us for this to be the food for dinner. Halloween is my favorite holiday so costumes is definitely very me as well. We're having it catered to our venue.

Our wedding is about an hour, hour and a half away from where we all live, so some people have chosen to come the night before.

We've rented a space at the pub which will be a very casual drop-in type thing - more of a, 'we will be around from 6:30 so if you're in the area feel free to pop in to say hello' type of thing.

My sister's and other weddings I've been to have been much closer to home, so it has made more sense to do something private and a little bit fancy with the bridal party, but with so many relatives around the night before, plus where the wedding will be, having a casual drop-in thing made a lot more sense to us.

My soon to be in-laws are hosting ours. It’s at a nice Italian restaurant on the strip in Vegas. We’ll serve the dishes family style with an open beer & wine bar. We are inviting all out of town guests.

We reserved the patio at our venue for our rehearsal dinner for 35 guests. We're doing a plated dinner but a DIY bread pudding station for dessert! Everyone would get bread pudding and be able to put whatever sauce or toppings they want

Our venue has a separate space for rehearsal dinners that they offer to you to use, but you don't have to. For a set price you get the event space, dinner and 3 hours of service for up to 45 people. We originally planned to DIY, but once we learned of this option we were all in so we don't have to think/stress about it the day before the wedding.
