Rehearsal Dinner Menu Card - including Open Bar

Barbara, on September 3, 2022 at 10:12 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5

Hello - I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. As MOG, we are providing the RD, and as it will be a buffet, I am creating menu cards. How can I best state "Open Bar" in more formal verbiage? I don't want it to SOUND like a "big party". My thought SO FAR: "Coffee, Tea, Sodas, and Open Bar included" OR "Includes all Beverages and Open Bar". Thoughts?? Thanks!!!!

I don't think menu cards are needed for a buffet, but if you are doing one, I'd just list the drinks available. For example, "soft drinks, beer, wine and cocktails." If you are in the US I would not say "open bar" because that would/should be assumed and is why you can't find the information anywhere.

CM - How would you normally communicate what's on the buffet? I've done such events before, but never a buffet. I can also google, but thought you might have a ready answer. Thanks again!

Some dishes are obviously what they are and need no explanation. I sometimes see identifying cards posted in front of the serving stations or a server announcing the dish to people coming through on the line. I don't think it's necessary to do menu cards with a buffet.
