If you have a rehearsal for the wedding, I think the dinner is a need to have. If there will be no rehearsal, than no dinner is needed.

Nice to have. I am not even considering this in our budget. It's just an extra dinner and extra mouthes to feed, when the reception is the next day.

Nope. Hired a wedding planner. I have all the faith in the world she can tell us when to walk. Nice tradition, not needed.

We really haven't talked about it but more than likely we will be having one. Just haven't decided if it will be at a restaurant or if we will rent out some where and have the food catered.

I think it's a need to have probably. Like, it would be super lame if you had your wedding party come in a day early to practice, and then didn't feed them. It doesn't need to be elaborate or anything.

I believe this is a need to have. This is a nice opportunity for the two families to mingle and get to know each other before the wedding day.

Nice to have. If you're on a tiny budget like my wedding it's the first thing getting cut.

Nice to have, rehearsal's are a need to have for something detailed but if it's a easy go with the flow wedding it's just nice to have.

99% of weddings throughout human history don't have a rehearsal. This isn't a royal wedding, it's not that hard. Practice being married not getting married.

If people focused more on the 50+ years of actual marriage and less on excessive celebrations, maybe divorce rates wouldn't be so high.

My advice is to spend that money on pre-wedding communications councilling.

One day you're kids will thank you a lot more than the people you'd be inviting... Most of whom you'll never see ten years later.
