Rehearsal Dinner Postcard?

Gemma, on May 4, 2011 at 5:42 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 13

My sister (MOH) is insisting that I made invites for the rehearsal dinner. I don't know why we can't just tell people or send an E-invite. Im thinking of just making something on the computer and then printing it out from target on photo-paper (like printing a 3X5), and making a postcard. I am not trying to be cheap, it just seems a waste to me. Opinions?

BTW we are only inviting 15 people (close family and wedding party).

You can get them really cheap from vistaprint. They have a million to choose from and they always have deals/ coupons. They would close the same as printing them yourself.

I have my MOH saying the same thing, so I had thought of printing them myself, until I got my things from vistaprint and now I may get them from vistaprint. Depends on what is easiest for you. Have you thought of shuttlefly or picaboo?

I don't think it is necessary. Just my opinion.

I would only need like 8 to 10, so its something that if I get to then I will do it and if not the MOH said she could help. But I hadn't thought of it since its only a few people. I figured one last thing to worry about.

I am DIYing my invitations but it is also for bridal party and OOT guests. But doing it on nice card stock and purchasing envelopes would be perfectly fine. As ladies here mentioned, Vistaprint is great if you can find a design you like. And finally don't forget to look at your local drugstore for party invitations. No need to go all fancy dancy if that's not you!

You could just get a little packet of invites from Target or somewhere and handwrite them. Or, you could just send an Evite and go on with your day. Smiley smile

I used pingg.com for a lot of wedding e-invitations (save the dates, bridal luncheon, etc). They have some really cute designs and it's a bit nicer than Evite - for starters, you get a notification if someone's email bounced back.

I was going to do e-invites but I have people coming (i.e. his and my parents) who do not know how to use a computer. My sister barely uses one. I looked at Vista print and did see that you have to pay for shipping so I think I am going to design my own and print it at target as a photo for 10c each. Smiley smile Thanks for the vista print idea though. They are great designs.

Yes, you just pay for s&h, so for example, 100 free postcards only cost $7, the bill goes up to $12 if you get white envelopes and matching return labels.

Check out my step by step ideas on what do do with all the free items and a link to the free deals.

I made mine at www.123print.com, but I am inviting all out of town guests. I ordered 50 postcard invites for $15 and then I only need a postcard stamp! It is a great website with tons of templates. I am also using them for wedding invitations and Thank You postcards...you can google a discount code too, I found one for 30% off my invitations!

Smiley smile Old post. We have since gotten married! We ended up making them on the computer and sending them to get printed as photos. They came out great. Thanks for the response though.
