Rehearsal Dinner

Kalie, on December 2, 2019 at 3:40 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 7

Alright ladies,

I need some advice, my fiance and i are getting married in September of 2020 and our wedding is in a small town about 45 minutes away from us but our venue is a city building so we only get it from 5am to 12pm. So my question is how do people do a "rehearsal" if you don't have access to the venue the day before? I am renting a large cabin near by the venue for the rehearsal dinner (were gonna do a bbq of some sort) so i was thinking that we could do it there???

I'm in a similar situation, there's a wedding at our venue the day before so we can't have our rehearsal then obviously. We were told we could have the rehearsal one day during the week, but I don't think that would be very convenient for our crowd. I'm considering having a casual rehearsal dinner catered at our house and just having the rehearsal there! The order of things for the ceremony will all be the same, I don't think a change of scenery will really throw people off on the day of lol Smiley smile

Thats pretty much what i was thinking i would do but i just wasnt sure how other people did it because most venues only let you have it for like 6 hours or even 4 hours, we just got lucky with ours where we get it the full day

H was in a wedding a few weeks ago and they just took about 20 minutes at the rehearsal dinner before they brought food out to walk through the ceremony and make sure people knew the order. It worked out really well and there were no issues the day of.

Unless you have a venue with an odd setup, a rehearsal isn't necessary. Most adults can find their way down the aisle with minimal instruction.

We are doing dinner at the Airbnb my mom got - and found a local Mexican restaurant that does catering.

We'll be doing our rehearsal in our hotel conference room. I'm still on the fence if we'll do dinner there too, or if we'll go to a restaurant instead.
