Rehearsal Dinner

Mandi, on March 9, 2020 at 5:23 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 6
My fiance just told me that his parents are paying for our rehearsal dinner. Sounds lovely. But why on earth have I been planning this thing?

I've ordered and paid for desserts and his mom asks me what we want for desserts the other night. I'm confused. I'm happy that it's one less expense, but it would have been nice to not worry about it for the last 11 months.
So I guess I'm gonna skip buying forks, plates and parmesan cheese. But seriously, tell me these things.

Ohmygosh girl!! You'd think they would have brought that up much sooner than less than 30 days out.

Wow nothing like telling you at the last minute. It’s nice that you’re saving the money but I agree it would have been nice to know sooner.

I planned our entire rehearsal dinner and my father in law paid for it. 1, I prefer to plan and 2, my father in law had no time or interest in planning. It worked out better for us.

I'm just not sure if what I've planned will mean me stepping on FMILs toes.

This is why I get confused or kind of annoyed by the people who are like "NEVER bring up or ask how your family is contributing to your wedding! its so rude!"......I'm 100% fine if no one contributes but IF you are contributing, I need to know before I plan/pay for/or don't do that thing. Lord.
