Rehersal Dinner Anyone?

The day before my wedding we had an hour long rehearsal at the venue before heading over to a Japanese restaurant for a hibachi lunch. 🤗 The bridesmaids were paired with their respective groomsmen while my husband and I sat together. We started off the lunch by breaking the ice with a little game of two truths and lie. Once everyone was comfortable we played a fun game of jeopardy to see who knew the bride and groom best. 😊 My husband and I read questions, made our own jeopardy music, and kept track of scores. Obviously the maid of honor and best man won! At the end of the game we gave out one of three of their wedding party gifts. It was anything but a traditional rehearsal dinner. 😁

Wow that's interesting. I plan to have one but I didnt plan to make it so interactive. That's a good idea though since my bridesmaids and groomsmen don't really know each other

Thank you! The goal of the rehearsal lunch was to help the bridesmaids and groomsmen get to know each other and it was a hit! At first everyone was a little apprehensive because they thought they were just there to eat. But everyone warmed up to the new idea really quickly and didn't want to leave when it was time to go. We had a third game planned called Song Association Game but we were already at the restaurant for three hours so we called it a day.

Cute idea! We are having ours the night before at a mexican restaurant right next to our blocked hotel. It will be around 70 people, we have a large wedding party and they all have spouses, and we will let the father of the groom start off with a speech then have an "open mic" sort of thing for anyone who wants to say anything. Our family & friends aren't the kind to drag on and do crazy speeches so I think only 3-5 people will take advantage of that (maybe my mom and brother and a few groomsmen). We will have a slideshow playing with baby pictures but other than that it will just be dinner!

This is such a cute idea!! I may have to steal this.
Our's isn't for a while so we don't have anything planned yet, but I know we're having it the night before at our wedding venue since we have it for 3 days. We're going to do the rehearsal dinner downstairs where the cocktail hour will be since the ceremony & reception spaces upstairs will already be decorated. My FMIL is planning on getting BBQ catered in, and her and my FH's grandmother will make all the desserts. They're both wonderful bakers so I was completely fine with this! I'm not sure how many people we'll have at it, but our bridal party alone has 19 people in it so we'll probably have over 50 people there.

I love the Jeopardy idea! We're probably gonna do something simple like pizza and salad for our rehearsal dinner!
