Relaxing or Adventurous Honeymoon?

We’re planning to honeymoon in Vegas, California or Jamaica for about 4-5 days still undecided. No matter where we go I want to have 1 day of relaxing and the rest of days I want to sight, atv rides, etc. What do you plan on doing while honeymooning? Relaxing or Adventurous?

We're doing both! We're doing 10 days in Hawai'i, with half adventure and half relaxing on the beach Smiley smile

The first five days we vegged at an all-inclusive in Hawaii-- we'd get up, have breakfast, relax in the hammock. Then we'd go get lunch, and relax in the hammock. Then we'd have dinner and go to bed. For us, after a *very* stressful summer, it was perfect. Then we went to Maui and actually did a few things-- parasailing, snorkeling, dinner cruise, etc.-- but there was still a lot of lounging around (and other not-so-pg-stuff Smiley sexy). So, mark us "decidedly unadventurous"!

We are definitely splurging on some perks to make our trip extra romantic. We are staying at a resort with a beach and pool so lots of relaxing. We plan to drink a lot and feast on delicious food! But we also want good nightlife, shows, etc. at our resort and the opportunity to go on some excursions.

We will be doing a lot of sight seeing in Dubai. We're only there for 3 nights so it'll be go go go. But once we get to Maldives we have an over water bungalo and FH already knows I'll be doing plenty of lounging, lounging, & more lounging.

We hope to mostly relax and do really romantic things. We might do some sailing, ride bikes, check out some music venues, have dinner on the beach, get massages...We will be in Jamaica for two weeks so we will go with the flow.

We just wanted to relax with no pressure to do anything requiring energy or exertion lol so we will be castaways in Maldives and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Whenever we travel we go hard! We enjoy going to off the beaten path locations, taking in as much as we can. NOT THIS TIME. This will be our 1st time doing an all-inclusive. We are going to Jamaica. We have been there before & love it! This time we are staying in Negril, which is very laid back.

We do plan on leaving our resort to do some horseback riding, etc.-but not much.

Probably Hawaii or the Carribbeans and I want to spend half of the time lounging (1 full day in our hotel room-hopefully we can get a nice ocean front view with a nice balcony- and just stay in there ordering room service all day). Then lounge on the beach and probaby 2 days of site seeing. I really want to relax for the most part though. I feel like our life is non stop and I am looking forward to our HM being the first vacation we actually did more relaxing then doing things.... I'm getting old! Hello 30s!

We'll do some adventure-but mostly relaxing. We both know all our future vacations will be action-packed, but for this one-we know we'll want to relax. After all the wedding business we'll be happy to spend time in Jamaica doing nothing Smiley smile

My fiance and I have a joke about the difference between our adventures and vacations. We love both, but for the honeymoon we want a vacation. We've both been busting ass at work, with wedding planning and buying a new house, so we want to veg out and that's just what we're doing in Costa Rica. But we do love travel and adventure, so we have lots of camping and a Europe trip planned this fall.

@jessica: My FH is a pilot and is obsessed with anything that has to do with flying. We took a taxi to the other side of the island where they have the famous beach where planes come right over the top of you to land. I am not as infatuated with flying as FH is but let me tell you, this experience was awesome and one of a kind! It is incredible how low the planes come in! There is a beach bar right there so we bought buckets of beer, got a tan, and an adrenaline rush as the planes flew over.

Relaxing! We spent 9 days in a cabin in Tennessee. Spent a lot of time swimming, day drinking, and reading. It was great!

DH works over 40 hours every week. So when we finally go on vacay it's pools, eating, beaches, and drinking. One day is spent sigh seeing, but we miss the naps in the middle of the afternoon if we do more than one day. Our honeymoon was the same.

I think if we were traveling abroad I would definitely say adventurous! BUT getting FH on a plane is going to be a chore in itself, so I am not entirely sure where we will end up going. A cruise sounds nice but I don't want to get bored. Ideally I want to be able to relax a few days and have a few days of adventurous activities!

We did a combination by going to Lagos, Portugal, and I wish I did pure relaxation instead. I was SO stressed and worn out by the wedding I needed total relaxation. I am definitely glad we left the country so that our phones were turned off. I got internet connection once and after reading messages on my phone I was totally stressed again thinking about the wedding and things that didn't go perfectly. focus on relaxing
