Remembrance During Ceremony

FH and I lost our best friends several years apart and would like to honor and remember them in some way. Does anyone have any idea as to how to go about this? Wording to put it on our programs? Thanks so much in advance!

Depending upon the venue, I also recommend non-verbal actions you can take, such as wrapping a large ribbon around a chair, blocking it off from use by another guest, saved in remembrance of your loved one; photographs of your loved one(s) with name cards and/or a candle in front of them on the gift table (next to the Guestbook); and things like that.

I have lost my grandparents and parents. My FH parents will light "their" candle and my sisters will light my parents. Part of our unity candle is we will light our candles from the ones lite by our own "parents". I will extinguish my parents but "carry on" their light. This is a second wedding for both of us and we each have children participating. We will light our childrens candles then have all six of us light the unity as a symbol of uniting our families.

Thank you, Paul C.!! I have to mostly rewrite our ceremony for our destination wedding, and those are just the words I was looking for!

You can also place their pictures and place them on a table where people can see these - like the entrance of your reception venue.
