Remove E ring at night?

Karissa, on August 14, 2016 at 4:02 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 62

My hands swell when I sleep and I wake up with my finger tingling and have to struggle to get my e ring off, I don't want to have to take my ring off every night, I'm kinda forgetful and don't remember to put it on in the morning. Does anyone else have this issue, swelling hands? Or have any suggestions as to what might cause this.

    Um. Being human.

Unfortunately many of us suffer from being human- and there is no know cure. You an reduce symptoms- but unfortunately the disease is permanent.

Best thing is to just continue to take off the ring and put it back on in the morning.

I take mine off when I get home and I sometimes put back on the next day. sometimes.

I take it off every night and put it on a ring holder in the bathroom. Then put it on when I leave in the morning

My hand swell at night as well, especially in the summer. But my ring during the day is a little loose (not so much that it would fall of though), so it doesn't get too tight. I do have a cute ring box that I keep by my bedside because I taking my ring off when I cook and wash dishes. ETA: Somehow I missed that last two lines of your post. Many natural factors contribute to the size of your fingers, such as temperature and circulation. Most aren't serious issues.

    Salt? Arthritis?

I immediately take of all my jewelry as soon as I walk in the door. I only wear them when I leave the house.

I take mine off at night and have it by my jewelry box so I remember to put it on when I am picking out my earrings and necklace for the day.

My fingers swell too. You could set a reminder in your phone every day to

Put your ring back on. After a while you probably won't need a reminder. I have to take bumex but I usually have my ring on unless in doing dishes or in the pool.

Thank you ladies so much. Glad I'm not a freak and it's normal to swell. I usually do take all my jewelry off, but for some reason felt like my E ring had to stay on all the time. Thanks for the reassurance.

I don't have this issue but I prefer to sleep with no jewelry (except my tragus piece). I put it back in the box each night as I'm afraid my cats would knock it off the table if I just left it out lol.

Um- no- take it off when ever- or don't wear it at all- I think I wear mine only like 50% of the time.

I've noticed that if I stay hydrated with water that my finger doesn't swell. I still take it off every night. I put it in a jewelry box by the alarm clock. There's been a couple times I've almost forgotten it but my finger has gotten used to my ring since I don't wear rings so I get an empty feeling of it missing before I leave the house Smiley smile

I don't sleep with my ring. I wear jewelry so putting on jewelry every morning is the reminder for me. Even though occasionally I still forget. But no biggie, I just run back upstairs and grab it.

I take mine off basically if I'm in my house. In the 6 months I've been engaged I forgot it once. I have a routine, I get ready for work, put my ring on, kiss FH goodbye.

I can totally relate. I hate that I have to take my rings off at night as I'm also super forgetful. I've yet to forget my wedding rings though.

I take mine off as soon as I get home. I terrified of something happening to it when cleaning or cooking. You'll get used to putting it on in the mornings. I left mine one or two tines after getting engaged but we are all human.

I take mine off when I get home from work and put it back on if I go out. I have a designated ring holder in the bathroom and it's just routine at this point. Brush teeth, put on clothes and makeup, put on ring.

My fingers swell when I'm hot and shrink when I'm cold but bad enough to make it uncomfortable. I only take mine off when I clean, go to the beach, or go to a pool. I frequently forget to put it back on when I get home. We went out in Tampa after a beach day once and I forgot, I was upset even though it was silly.

It happens to me and my jeweler taught me the proper way to take it off which helps so much!! Press on the part of your ring that is on the inside of your hand with your thumb and place your index and middle finger on the upper part to hold in place and slide it off!

Humidity makes my hands and feet swell like crazy! But, I take mine off at night anyways and put it in a holder. I just find it more comfortable not to sleep with it on and I don't like showering with it either.
