I would use long wooden kings tables, and decor could focus on lots of metals/bronzes, as was popular back then. Low lighting and lots of candles will definitely set the vibe. You could continue the metal/bronze in the table setting as well…

For cocktail hour, instead of a basic charcuterie you could do a grazing table with lots of meats, grains and fruits. Serving meade would be an awesome touch too!




And if you plan to have a grand exit, you could do a sword tunnel

There are also places online that will make customized knight shields. You could have one made with your new last name (if you plan to take his) and display it at the reception



Or you could have one with both of your last names if you do not plan to take his last name, or just to represent the two families becoming one
