Rental items for wedding -_-

Destiny, on September 27, 2019 at 2:33 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 10

so adding up all the stuff from the company its like 428.50 that included the 70 for delivery and set up well now getting the quote back from the company its almost 900!! all the dang setup charges and cleaning charges plus a 100 after hours fee. ughhhh!!!!! im about to just give up and just put picknic blankets on the ground there is no reason that the ammount should double for rental equipment,

Anyone have suggestions on how to keep grilled food warm? We were going to grill the burgers dogs and brats the day of the wedding cuz that was the one thing my fh was adamant about doing. well now i guess we can just spend the next day grilling and preping food. We're having a wedding of 22 people 5 of them being kids under 6 its basicaly just a big cook out and im getting wayyyy more frustrated than i should be

Sterno sets for keeping food warm! We were able to borrow a lot of the ones we needed from family members and then the gels we got from a local restaurant supply store but Costco had them for a similar price.

Is there any room for negotiation with the rental company? We managed to save not getting after hours charge by having our stuff delivered the day before the wedding and picked up the next day. Obviously that also partially depends on if your venue is okay with that too.

Was your original quote from the rental company or just the numbers you added up? If it was a quote, do you have it in writing or the name of the person you spoke with? Are you able to change the time to avoid after hours fees?

As for keeping the food warm, you should be able to find disposable chafing dishes at Costco or any restaurant supply store. You'll need sterno pots to keep food warm. I would also recommend using a pan with water under the one with the food to keep them from cooking more.

Just added from the website, as for changing the time it would have to be picked up at 430 meaning event would end at 330 or 4 to get everything undecorated and restacked

Ouch. Is there another company you can look into? If you are close to someone in the military and near a base, they may have something for rentals through the MWR.

It might even be cheaper just to buy tables and chairs you can decorate, linens, plates, etc. Then you could sell it online after as a wedding package for another bride
