You are definitely not trying to book too early. It’s definitely good to start planning a year in advance at least. Vendors book so quickly! If they’re not responding with 2 weeks-month I would just look for different ones.

I think you should keep contacting vendors. My wedding is in June 2023, and I found that some of the vendors I reached out to were already booked for my date. I’m guessing you would want a responsive vendor anyways, so you should probably keep looking.

If they don’t respond, move on. This is prime wedding season so they may be busy but it is no excuse for them to give you a yes or no answer as to whether they are available on your date.

A LOT of vendors are already very booked for 2023. While I think they should respond if they’re not available that could be the reason they’re not answering. I know that I have vendors I hired that I follow on social media and they keep posting updated schedules for next year and they’re very booked already and some have started booking 2024. I would just reach out to as many vendors as you can so you can start booking asap. Like asap, asap. When I started booking vendors October 2021 for October 2022 a lot of people I reached out to were booked for my date already. Because of all the weddings that have been pushed off due to Covid and you getting married during a popular time if you wait until 6 months you will have little to no options. I would just keep sending as many emails as you can

Oh man thats frustrating and rude that vendors are just ignoring you but don't give up. Its definitely not too early, fingers crossed you find some amazing and responsive vendors soon.

I'm getting married destination in oct 2023, and have not had any issues with replies! All of my vendors are booked. I would take response time as a red or green flag - even if the vendor is busy, what if they're busy around your wedding day too and they don't get back to you? It's just TOO stressful! Def move on if you're waiting (IMO) 4+ business days for a reply.
