Rescheduling and Invites

Nicole, on January 25, 2021 at 11:49 AM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hey!
Our original date was October 2, 2020. After spending money on invites and stamps, we were notified about 3-4 weeks before the wedding that we would have to reschedule or cut the guest list to 50 people (yay New York State). We ended up rescheduling instead of cutting 100+ people who may have already RSVP’d. I’m still not 100% we are going to be allowed our full guest list for our new date - April 23, 2021. Trying to find other options instead of spending more money on invites when we may still have to cut the guest list. Looking to see if any of your have found user friendly e-vite sites where I can also include food choices. Thanks!

I *think* we are going to use the built-in evite feature from our wedding website made on withjoy.com. I looked through many of the usual recommendations (paperless post, greenvelope) but the costs were high enough to make it only marginally cheaper than real mail. I’ve tested the site and they are pretty cute and easy to use and have the features we needed (ability to ask question/dinner, rsvp only for a specific guest names, & import guest list from spreadsheet). Maybe not a great option if you already made your site elsewhere!

Thank you! I have created a website on The Knot but I don’t find the RSVP section very user friendly and cannot seem how to add the food options. If I’m having some issues using it, I’m sure our older guests will have some problems too.

You could always choose more of an announcement style stationary to announce your new date and have your guests RSVP online. Our wedding website was also through The Knot and we had our guest RSVP online. They had no issues, even our older guests in their 80's.
