Rescheduling fall wedding to spring: change colors?

Mindy, on August 7, 2020 at 4:29 PM Posted in Planning 1 21
My October wedding was planned with burgundy, navy and dusty rose colors. I live in a high covid case area with many traveling guests so we’ve decided to postpone to March. Should I change my wedding colors? I’m bummed because I love the fall wedding theme.

I would keep the colors, I’m doing a navy & mauve in the spring I think it’ll work for you with burgundy & dusty rose

I don't think you need to change. You can have any colors you want. It doesn't have to match a specific season. Our colors were red and black and we got married in the summer so those colors aren't really summery, but we didn't care.

DON’T CHANGE YOUR COLORS! Lol! Those are pretty no matter what time of year. My fiancé is a firefighter & wanted red, charcoal and cream. We’re getting married in April so I wasn’t sure & his mom a comment that those were winter colors. However we love the colors & are keeping them! Keep what you want!

Keep your colors!!! The best part about COVID is that anything goes! Before I had to postpone my May wedding, my main color was navy. You do you girl!

I am not shy about hating the idea of tying colors to seasons! We chose our favorite colors and our favorite team's colors (they just so happen to overlap) - red, blue, and purple. And we had a summer wedding.

Pick colors that make you happy, and NO ONE notice.

We’re using the same colors for our November wedding, and we’re not changing them if we have to postpone

Our colors are burgundy, ivory, with black and gold accents in June. Burgundy is his favorite colors... we didn’t care what season we were getting married in. Do whatever you like!

It would be different if you had bundles of fall leaves in the centerpieces. Different flowers will be available at in season rates, and spring is easiest with your colors. There are beautiful Japanese iris and Asian lilies that have burgundy, mauve, and various lighter and deeper pinks , not just the tulips and spring garden flowers we think of first. Keep your colors, they are great any time.

I don’t think so! March still has wintery vibes so the moody color palette works!

Keep the colors. I don’t think wedding colors have to match the season. They just have to be the colors that you want to use.

We had a May wedding planned with tropical colors and had to move our event to October.
I thought I had to change the colors, but husband said that in pictures, nobody will tell what season it is.
So we are keeping the original colors that wanted.
