Your venue will likely shut your event down if you break the guidelines.

Really depends on the state even county where your wedding is located. I also agree with PP that your venue might shut down your wedding if you don’t comply.

People could probably dance in their seat aha or where they’re at socialLy distanced... you just really can’t have people crowding up a dance floor.

It will definitely depend on the venue, but that's one rule a lot of venues are using. If yours didn't make that a rule, then get those tail feathers shaking!

If I were you I would make it very clear to my venue that I plan on shakin my butt off! If they can’t provide that to you then I’d suggest moving your date. What’s a wedding without dancing??

It honeslty depends on which state you are in and how many ppl can gather for events. Some states are in different phases.

There are no guidelines yet about this. experts are guessing what they may be like and some feel close dancing would probably not be allowed however I highly highly doubt the government has the authority to say “no dancing.” Im sure at the very least u could still do a first dance. and there is no way an venue is going to stop your wedding because u danced a little.

If it’s just an article you saw, then it’s not law. Guidelines for events are a state by state decision and in some states they’ve made it county by county. Likely that article was an opinion piece of how they suggested weddings do their part to prevent the spread of COVID. What you need to do is check your state’s guidelines/laws and also check any restrictions put in place by your venue.

I would just make sure your venue knows that you're there to dance! My husband and I got married on leap day (it ended up being the last wedding our venue did before the virus), and we made sure our venue coordinator knew we were there to party. Our ceremony was 10 minutes and after that, photos, our entrances, first dance and dinner, it was on! lol Smiley xd

I don't think anyone sat down after dinner and our cake cutting, lol. Everyone was on the dance floor. We even got my grandpa on the dance floor for the entire night!
