Rethinking my October Wedding 😞

I'm sorry that you're worried about this, Deborah, but you've got plenty of time before (a) the weather is set in stone for your wedding and (b) create your perfect backup plan just in case!!

I also wouldn't be too worried about your guests or even your wedding party being chilly. You know what Kentucky weather can be like around this time of year, so you can account for it. Mention that it's going to be an outdoor wedding, pending inclement weather, on your invitations, and your guests will dress for it. Include little shawls in your bridesmaids' attire for when the sun goes down. Things like that.

Are you planning to have your reception inside? Because that might be my one suggestion, to have the reception inside instead of the whole shebang outside.

Yes we’re going to have our reception under a carriage house that can be enclosed with tent walls. I do/did not want to get married in a barn which would be plain B because I am not going for the “rustic” look but I’m staying hopeful and beginning to look up ideas to decorate plan b to not make it look “rustic”. I love the shawl/fur ideas I’ve been looking into those.

Mine is next Sept 28 & I’m freaking out a little bit. It’s been so wet, & a couple of weeks ago was hot too! My wedding is outdoors so I’d better start making a backup plan ASAP.

Mine is the same date as Sandy’s, Sept 28. And ours is outside on the grand balcony at Churchill. You guys are making me nervous now! Lol.
