Return Dress Appt

Brittany, on February 7, 2024 at 6:53 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2
I went dress shopping a week ago with a small group. I believe I found the dress, but havent committed to it yet. I wanted to sleep on it, and bring the whole group with me when I did say "yes." So I have now set up a return appointment in couple of weeks for everyone to go with. They wrote down my 2 favorites, is it acceptable to try on additional dresses when I go? I never got a chance to look through the sale rack and would only pull a couple if I found any that I liked. I know the appointment is only 1 hour long and would go a little early so I could look through the rack without taking up appointment time. Is this acceptable?

Check the store’s website to see if they have specific rules for the return shopping appointment. Otherwise, you have an hour you can use as you like IMO! I’d give them a heads up that you’d like to try on one or two additional dresses so they’re prepared to pull more.

It's generally acceptable to try on additional dresses during your return appointment, especially if you have specific styles or preferences you'd like to explore further. Arriving a little early to check the sale rack is a good plan, just be mindful of the time to ensure you make the most of your one-hour appointment. Communicate your intentions to the bridal shop staff to ensure a smooth and productive session.
