Returning rsvp Cards

FutureMrsB, on March 4, 2019 at 10:34 AM Posted in Planning 0 15

Yesterday was my RSVP date.. I definitely did not think about the fact that mail does not come on a Sunday when picking the date.... Anyways, I wonder if its okay to start reaching out to people now since the RSVP date has passed or do I allow a few extra days in case someone mailed it Saturday? We invited 150 guests and 60 have not responded.. and final counts are due in a 10 days.

I would give it another day or two since the mail doesn't run on Sunday and many people send their RSVP back last minute.

I would give it until Wednesday and then start making calls. A lot of people think the RSVP date is the date it needs to be in the mail by lol

I’m guilty of being a last minuter! 😞 I would give until wednesday’s Mail to see if people postmarked by your RSVP date.

I’d give it a few days and then make phone calls. A lot of people wait till the last minute.

I waited about a week before reaching out to guests who hadn't sent their RSVPs back yet. A lot of people forget about RSVPing unfortunately! It's frustrating!

Usually guests take an RSVP date as send in the RSVP by that date, so I wouldn't worry! I'd reach out in 1-2 days.

Yeah I was wondering if people just needed to send the card back by that date and of course it would take a few days to come back. Wednesday will work! Thank you all! Smiley smile

I’m feeling your frustration! Our due date is today and I’m still waiting on 100 out of 160. I’m making calls starting Thursday

To save yourself effort, I’d advise waiting a couple of days. I had lots of people drop theirs in the mail ON the date— I think my deadline was a Thursday, and the following Monday I had EIGHT rsvp cards in my mailbox.

i was missing about 25 rsvp cards on my rsvp by date. I had a little wiggle room, so I decided I was going to give it a week before reaching out to the stragglers, and I’m super thankful I waited because by the time that day rolled around I had heard from ALL but ONE guest, so only had to reach out to them, and saved myself a ton of effort

Start contacting people after the mail has come on Tuesday.

I reached out to them a week before the final count was due for my coordinator. I gave them the option of sending back the rsvps or doing it online, so I gave everyone the link and had them just rsvp online. USPS can be finicky sometimes, as some of my guests did not even receive our RSVP and others who sent them back- we didn't get. If you have 60 people, I would definitely reach out sooner; the sooner the better!

We are date twins!! When was your RSVP date?? I have to give final numbers by 3/16 and pay in full but I will be out of town starting 3/15 for my bach weekend so I need to do it sooner!

Maybe I'll just start by reaching out to family first!

    How exciting!! congratulations =)

I had to give my final numbers by March 1, and I gave everyone a deadline by Feb 23. Our coordinator told us we can add people but we cant take any away and our final payment is due two weeks before. I would start reaching out around 3/9 and tell them you need a final answer by 3/14! That way you can get everything together and send it by 3/15 and enjoy your bachelorette weekend!
